LEGAL BASIS OF THE PROCESSING

The legal basis of the processing is represented by the pursuit of the legitimate interest of Cineca, pursuant to Article 6 paragraph f) of the Regulations, in the publication on the Web of its institutional sites aimed at disseminating the activities and initiatives of the consortium.

The provision of personal data provided voluntarily when filling in forms accessible from Cineca sites or by sending an e-mail is optional. Any refusal to provide them may make it impossible to use the requested services. The data requested are those strictly necessary to respond to user requests (contact details).

PURPOSE OF THE TREATMENT AND TYPE OF DATA PROCESSED

DATA INSERTED VOLUNTARILY BY THE USER

The personal data provided directly by users by filling in web-based forms (registration / registration of courses; sending curriculum vitae, etc.) or by sending e-mail messages to the e-mail addresses published on the Cineca website, will be used to allow the sending of the requested information material (newsletters, responses to requests for information, sending the “Cineca Magazine” publication) and for the sole purpose of activating the service or provision requested and are communicated to third parties only in the event that this is necessary to achieve these purposes.

NAVIGATION DATA

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, some data whose transmission is inherent in the use of Internet communication protocols. This is information that is not collected to be associated with identified interested parties, but which by their very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users who connect to the site, addresses in URI notation (Uniform Resource Identifier: it is a string that uniquely identifies a generic resource that can be a web address, a document, a file, etc.) of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful , error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating system and the user’s IT environment (browser used by the user).

The system, on the other hand, does not allow to collect the identity of the user who connects.

These data are used only on an aggregate and never personalized basis, to statistically analyze user behavior in order to understand how visitors use the site and to measure the interest found in the different pages that make up the site. This allows Cineca to improve the content of the site and to simplify and make consultation more efficient.

These data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its correct functioning and are kept for the period necessary for the purposes defined in this statement. The data in question could be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of any computer crimes against our site, in compliance with the guarantees imposed by law. CONFIGURATION OF THE LOGS OF THE CINECA WEB SERVER

While browsing, each user’s browser communicates the IP address of the browser to the Cineca web server. The IP address is a number automatically assigned to each computer while browsing the web.

The Cineca web server is configured in such a way as not to allow identification of the user (username) associated with the IP address or other personal identity information, therefore the user remains anonymous while visiting the site.

RECIPIENTS OF THE DATA

The recipients of the data collected following the consultation of the sites listed above or the compilation of forms or sending e-mails are the Data Controller (Cineca) and any Data Processors appointed by the Data Controller, as well as the natural persons within the Cineca authorized to process data for the above purposes.

The navigation data (IP address, site of origin, browser used, S.O used, pages visited, time spent on individual pages, etc.) on the pages of the Cineca sites are only transmitted to the Google company that provides Cineca with the service called Google Analytics (http://www.google.com/analytics/): this is a statistical processing service for accesses to the site, which are used only by personnel authorized to process Cineca to analyze the use of our site by of users with a view to improving the service offered and to make the use of the site quicker and easier to access.

These data are in no way processed to define the profile or personality of the data subject, or to analyze consumption habits or choices for commercial purposes.

The so-called “deep linking” (deep link or direct link) is prohibited, ie the operation of inserting a hypertext link within a page of an external site to a specific internal page of the Cineca site, thus bypassing the Cineca home page and all the intermediate pages.
